MP3
MP3 is one of the most popular audio formats. It used digital audio encoding as well as lossy data compression.
WMA
WMA (Windows Media Audio) was developed by Microsoft. This format goal was to address inefficiences in MP3 format and also allowed Microsoft to have its own
audio format on the market. There were multiple comparisons tests on whether WMA could deliver the same quality as MP3 on half of the bit rate but
results of these tests are quite controversial.

WAV
WAV is short for Waveform. This format is quite widespread because Microsoft Windows stores its sounds in a form of WAV files. Usually WAV is used
to store uncompressed sound data, though compressed data is also supported. WAV format is still widespread since it is very simple and is supported by
lots of software applications.
